UL/CSA/CE Testing Initiated…
LM79 to follow.
December 17, 2012
Differential Energy Global (DEG) has delivered the LED HI-Bay and HI-Lamp for final electrical safety testing. DEG innovated its own proprietary combination 100w power supply/LED driver. DEG believes their design is the smallest most compact PS/LED driver available in the current LED market; many of the top power supply developer/manufacturers globally claiming the form-factor DEG desired was impossible to design.
DEG passed its most critical test when it met the stringent FCC/CISPR 22:2008 Class A requirements for its PS/LED Driver unit. Conducted and radiated emission measurements were performed in a complete and accurate manner and found to be fully compliant at Northwest EMC on October 19, 2012 under the supervision of Patrick G. André, iNARTE Certified Master Design Engineer: EMCD-00053-ME, EMC-001335-NE, ESD-00078-NE.
DEG will now complete the design for its proprietary 40w power supply/LED driver for its smaller 70w-120w and 125w-175w replacement LED HI-Lamps for HID bulbs. We anticipate these additional LED HI-Lamp products will be available for commercial sale toward the end of the 1st Quarter 2013.
Finally, DEG is now preparing for full commercial production of its HI-Bay and HI-Lamp products. While we await the completion of regulatory testing DEG is in the process of assembling a number of test units for various commercial customers. We are excited by the incredible demand and pre-orders indicating to us that we have innovated a disruptive, market-leading line of replacement LED lamps for HID bulbs.
We have decided to wait a bit longer for formal commercial introduction until after we unveil the entire product line at LightFair 2013 on April 23rd in Philadelphia. While this will mark nearly a year after first introducing our prototypes of the LED HI-Lamps and concepts for the LED HI-Bay Lamps at LightFair 2012 Las Vegas, we felt this was the perfect time to show the products for the first time to the world in final commercial form. DEG made a commitment when it started its journey to bring to the market a product that was an American made product, was unique, a disruptive innovation and simple in its design, function and ultimate reliability. From high light output to its inventive and patent-pending thermal systems and fully rotational spring-loaded contact tip—these game-changing replacement LED lamps are sure to change the re-lighting paradigm globally.
We look forward to your visit at Differential Energy Global’s Booth 4101 at LFI Philadelphia in April.
DEG enters LED HI-Bay Lamps into LightFair 2013 Innovation Awards competition.
February 15, 2013
Differential Energy Global (DEG) has completed its entry of the LED HI-Bay Lamps for award consideration in this year’s LightFair International Product Innovation Awards competition in the category of Replacement LED Lamps. At the 2012 Innovation Awards ceremony in this same category DEG’s LED HI-Lamps received recognition not as the Main Award winner but as one of the top 5 products in this category with the judges noting “these products embody innovation and show great promise”.
LED HI-Bay Lamps
DEG has also completed its initial design for it new 50w proprietary Power Supply/LED Driver—again, an innovation that will bring a new lightweight and compact dimension to its 8-LED HI-Lamp for replacement of 150w-175w HID bulbs in existing outdoor fixtures.
Finally, DEG has been submitting finished test samples to regulators and select utility companies and test facilities to obtain third-party, independent validation for its products.

LM79, LM 80 and TM21 Reports Released (see Technical Specifications in header above)
March 10, 2013
LM79, LM80 and TM21 tests and final reports are available for the 15-LED HI-Lamp replacement for 250w-400w HID bulbs and for the 42-LED HI-Bay Lamp replacement for HID bulbs in existing and new high bay fixtures. DEG is anticipating having its final regulatory approvals completed at or within a few days after LightFair Philadelphia
For three straight days at LightFair Philadelphia our staff of five was inundated with visitors—in fact, we talked with more individuals on day one in Philly than all 3-days combined at LightFair 2012 Las Vegas.
“We were overwhelmed” said DEG’s President & CEO, Rick Flaherty. Having exhibited at well over 300 tradeshows in the past 33 years, LightFair 2013 was the most prolific in attendee interest, excitement for our replacement LED products and the level of knowledge of the LED market from those visiting out booth. And, yes, the vast majority commented on how bright the lamps were in comparison to other products in the outdoor space…and asking all of us for that promised pair of sunglasses! We had to laugh as many wore their own sunglasses in our booth—a testament to just how much we have achieved in light intensity and output in such an array of compact products.
We want to thank all of the attendees who took the time to visit our booth and for the positive comments regarding our truly disruptive innovations installed in a Cobra head street light, shoe box parking fixture, various low and high bay fixtures and the many other LED applications we had on display.
LightFair 2013 was a resounding success for DEG…unbelievable!

Update Alert: DEG receives its ATMs (Authority to Mark) from Intertek (ETL) to mark its products with UL/CSA/CE under UL1993, CSA C22.2, UL1598C, CSA TIL B-79 and other global marks.
July 24, 2013
After more than 18 months since it initiated its first Pre-Construction Review (PCR) for its LED HI-Lamp 250300 product, DEG was granted its Authority to Mark (ATM) all of its HI-Lamp and HI-Bay LED products. DEG began an immediate procurement of components to begin its next phase; full commercial production of its LED HI-Lamp/HI-Bay line of direct replacement LED lamps for HID bulbs. Beginning in about one week DEG will send out notices to the nearly one-thousand companies (ESCOs, Utilities, Distributors, Mfg Rep/Agents, Corp Facility Mgrs and global parties who have contacted DEG with an interest to purchase its game-changing, disruptive innovation replacement LED lamps. DEG is also preparing to file to both LDL and DLC to obtain product listing, apply and pledge under DOE's Lighting Facts program and submit our products to key utility companies for validation and internal testing (BPA, Consumers Energy, TVA, Puget Sound Energy and others).
Due to the overwhelming demand DEG will first offer for sale Promotional Sample Kits (PSK) that will include several LED HI-Lamps in one PSK and all 3 LED HI-Bay direct-replacement lamps in the other PSK. Each kit will contain a unique ability to plug-in directly to 120v-240v wall outlets to demonstrate the incredible level and excellence of light output and the impressive design and quality of the entire product line.
These Promotional Sample Kits will be offered for a very limited time and on a first-come, first-served and first-to-pay basis for a period of 15 days after the notices are sent via email starting next week. The price of the LED HI-Lamp Promotional Sample Kits will vary from $949 to $1,163 depending on the product mix that will include 4, 8 and 15-LED HI-Lamps in varying combinations. The price of the LED HI-Bay lamp Promotional Sample Kits will be $1,299 and will include 1 each of the 20, 30 and 42-LED HI-Bay models, both PSKs delivered in a completely recyclable, corrugated plastic sustainably-green carrying case. PSKs will be limited to a maximum of one each of the HI-Lamps and HI-Bay lamps and must be pre-paid with order--no exceptions.
DEG will stop accepting orders for Promotional Sample Kits on August 20th to allow us to gauge how many initial kits to build and the corresponding components needed, and then we will move immediately to full commercial production to begin to fill the substantial level of orders held that started arriving after our introduction at LightFair 2012 Las Vegas and accelerated following advertisements pre-and post LightFair 2013 Philadelphia and further compounded by the incredible success we achieved at LightFair. We cannot stress enough the importance of acting quickly in placing your order for the PSKs--we will need to focus our efforts as quickly as possible to fulfilling commercial orders...so don't miss this opportunity.
It is very likely that we will not produce any PSKs again until after all initial commercial production orders have been filled and this could push future PSK availability into mid to late November. The initial run of Promotional Sample Kits will begin to ship from our facility in Port Orchard, Washington in September and will continue until all pre-ordered PSKs have been fulfilled.

2015 Update Alert: DEG formally introduced its new CLiK by DEG, one of the most innovative products designed to date by DEG.
A simple screw-in omnidirectional lamp that will round out DEG's HID replacement product line for the "lower-level" HID bulb replacement fixtures below 15'. DEG's President & CEO, Rick Flaherty, stated that "this low-energy use lamp will bring to the market a compact, multi-axis product that can be installed in any vertical up, down or horizontal socket...the uses are endless and the 4-power level settings broaden the applications where this lamp can be used."
DEG also formally introduced its new Oclipse at LightFair NY on May 5, 2015. DEG had more than 500 visitors to its booth over the 3-day period. This 5" round LED lamp can be used in a multitude of locations as well as the foundation for its downlight bollard replacement lamp. May 11, 2015
2015 Update Alert: In early August DEG' President & CEO, Richard Flaherty, attended the annual Stakeholders Meeting of the Design Light Consortium (DLC). After many years of advocating for a category for Mogul Screw-Base LED Replacement Lamps the DLC formally proposed a category, and request for comments. At the meeting it was further disclosed that this category will likely be approved for product submitalls to the QPL sometime in October 2015.
DEG is anxious to finally have a category for its world-class LED replacement lamps on the DLC's Qualifed Product List. As soon as the listing category is formally released DEG intends to submit all of its LED products for inclusion, opening up a vast number of markets for rebates of DEG's products. While any similar product can apply for listing as well, DEG is confident that its products will lead the market in replacement LED lamps for Cobrahead, shoebox, wall packs, interior high/low bay and specialty decorative fixtures such as Acorn and Globe. August 27,, 2015
2015 Update Alert: After just over a year since we first began engineering on one of our most innovative LED retrofit lamp designs to date, the CLiK is completed, thru testing, LM79, LM80, TM21, field test installs and finally, sign-off by our technical and engineering team and outside consultants. Whooo, what a journey. The CLiK may indeed be one of the most innovative lamps in the LED industry (and we don't drool over awards...if they happen, great, but you won't see DEG's products submitted in calls for product recognition; our best recognition is every happy customer exclaiming that DEG has the best technology and LED lights in the industry--that is the only and best award we can hope for, and the most gratifying!) The first run of CLiKs sold out in 2 days and we are now pulling out all the stops to run 5x the first run to meet the incredible demand for this uniquely designed LED product. Look in the Technical Specification menu for the spec sheets and all testing data. November 12,, 2015

2016 Update Alert: DEG's LED HI-Lamps and HI-Bay lamps are now listed on these major QPL's
2017 Update Alert: As we move toward our 7th year since founding DEG we are seeing continued and expanded interest in our products globally. While we had a bit of a rocky start like most LED manufacurers we have resolved all of our early product impairments, made substantial improvements in components, testing and QC and have stood behind our products without question. DEG's affiliate companies have been in business for more than 38 years and with the same success enjoyed by these affiliate companies, DEG plans on continuing its innovation and strengthening its offerings of LED retrofit products. Soon DEG will be offering its products through a partnership with an LED only B2B eCommerce website on an exclusive basis. Stay tuned as DEG continues on its journey to bring top-tier USA made retrofit products to the global market and expands its offerings of a full line of LED only products. October 2, 2017
LATE 2018 Update Alert: Now in our 7th year since founding DEG we are making major changes in the way we market our products. Each and every day we are challenged by distributors offering low-priced LED products from Asia and finding not only is it difficult to compete against labor that is 1/8th of our labor but living costs that are 1/4 of our daily cost. Enough! We decided to combat this by offering our products direct to the end-users and resellers who generally purchase through distributors and agent/reps at liquidation prices. At this juncture, we have nothing to lose.
Even with Tariffs on LED chips and other components China still has negatively impacted the LED business in the U.S. and other countries around the world. Chinese manufacturers stole our IP and copied our products ... how do you compete against those who steal your technology? Try bringing suit against a Chinses entity, it's tnatamount to catching raindrops!
PLEASE visit as DEG sells its products at liquidation prices. DEG is proud to be part of the new wave in sourcing and delivering QUALITY LED.
